This photo taken around 1920 of three men bathing in a mountain lake behind Britannia Beach, demonstrates the kind of freedom and relaxation that will always exist here in Britannia. Nude bathing is still a regular activity and happens on a secret shipwrecked beach not far from town. You'll have to ask us locals nicely to find out where! |

Browing Lake at Murrin Park, just 5 minutes north of Britannia Beach on the sea to sky highway is an exquisite site to see, to swim (only with your clothes on here) and to rockclimb. |

Shannon Falls, another 5 minutes north of Murrin Park is an experience not to be missed. Surrounded by forest you can walk up a trail to see the falls close up. If you feel like a longer hike, take the trail through the wilderness back to Britannia Beach. |
