Throughout the month of June I have
gone to all the local schools in Squamish to listen to their concerns and
needs. Unfortunately, through this process, I was only able to talk to the
school's principal or vice-principal.
Hi my name is Sukhvir and for the summer I have been hired by the Squamish R.C.M.P. Detatchment. I have been handed the role of being the Student Crime Prevention Assistant. I have been hired to listen to the concerns of the children and youth of Squamish.
Throughout the month of June I have
gone to all the local schools in Squamish to listen to their concerns and
needs. Unfortunately, through this process, I was only able to talk to the
school's principal or vice-principal.
Through this I hope to target the youth of Squamish. I would love for you, the future of Squamish, to tell me your concerns. What do you feel are and were the main issues that occurred throughout the year for you? How was your school year experience? Do you think that there are problems in your school? Do you feel there is too much violence, racism or bullying in your school? How would you like the police to be involved in your school? Would you like them to come to more assemblies or even visit your classroom?
